Whether you’re an occasional Pilates participant, an athlete, or a fitness enthusiast, our instructors at our Santa Clara-area Pilates studio will help you set your movement goals in order to achieve all the benefits Pilates has to offer. Improve your posture, strengthen your muscles, and decrease your stress level by engaging in a regular Pilates practice. Through individual, private sessions or small-group training at our studio, we’ll work with you to achieve your movement goals.
HOW TO START
Our instructors will help you build core strength, focus on your breathing and concentration, and improve your flexibility and muscle tone. We introduce our students to the Classical Pilates method using authentic Pilates equipment, while acknowledging and addressing the unique needs of each student. Our instructors will meet you at your skill level to find the right class for you, whether that is a private, group or beginner Pilates class at our Santa Clara-area Pilates studio.
With a prerequisite set of three, 50-minute private sessions, you’ll learn the foundational concepts of Pilates in a one-on-one setting. All new clients of Empowered Body Pilates are required to complete these three private sessions upon enrolling in our Pilates studio. This will allow our instructors to determine your individual strengths, help you set goals, and modify any previously learned methods that may need to be adjusted before enrolling in one of our group classes. Depending on your preference, you can attend these private Pilates classes at our Santa Clara-area Pilates studio, or you may attend virtually.
Pilates is resistance training
Our comprehensive and methodical approach to fitness is embodied in the Classical Pilates method we teach. By utilizing spring tension and performing a series of controlled movements, total body strength is ultimately achieved. With a goal of optimal wellness, each individual will learn mindfulness techniques as they work through controlled exercises for efficient movements.
