THE EMILY POST OF PILATES

Cancellation Policy 

EBP holds a 48-hour cancellation policy for Private sessions and a 24-hours for all group classes. If you cannot keep your session time, please call and leave a message on the studio phone 408-497-5383 or email us. Sessions canceled under the required timeline, will be charged the cost of 1 session as a cancelation fee. Please do not come into the studio if you are not feeling well.

Cell Phones

We believe you can be free from your phone, pager, or other homing device for 50 minutes. Really, we do! Please silence all such devices, including the Apple watches. We understand the occasional emergency arises, so please notify your teacher beforehand what you need to keep accessible. Kindly step out of class if you need to address your call or text. 

Timeliness 

You will be barred from group class if you are more than five minutes late from the start of class. Bay area traffic can be crazy, but we also must honor those who make it to class on time. Please understand that this is not only a courtesy to your fellow students but also for your safety. If you are barred from class, you will be late-canceled and charged the cost of the session. 

… If you are late …

Quietly hop in. Your instructor will not interrupt the flow of the class. Execute Footwork Series, The 100, then catch up where everyone else is. If you don’t have Footwork Series or The 100 memorized, don’t be late! ;)

The 2-Student Rule

Every Trio session must have at least 2 participating students to run. At least 8 hours before your class, you will be notified if you are the only participant. You will be given the option to cancel free of charge or you can keep the hour as a private session for the discounted rate of $110. If your class partner cancels late (under 24 hours), we will happily see you at your normal Trio rate. 

Payment Methods & Policy

We accept checks and Visa/MasterCard/Discover/AMEX. Upon your initial booking, we require a valid credit card to be kept on file for incidentals. Unless you are on a pre-arranged auto-payment schedule, we will always call or email for your permission before charging your card. There is a $60 fee for returned checks. 

Expiration

All new client packages expire 21 days after the first date of use. Private Session and Trio 10-packs have a 1-year expiration date from the date of purchase. Monthly memberships are valid for 30 calendar days of your auto-payment schedule. We know you will experience the benefit the more we see your smiling faces! We do not honor refunds after seven days of the purchase date or extensions on monthly packages. 

Attire

In Pilates, you will find your body in the occasional precarious position. For your modesty and ours, we recommend secure, comfortable, non-see-through workout attire. Men, please wear supportive gear.

“Sticky Socks” or socks with grip/tread on the soles are required.

The shoes our instructors wear during sessions are dedicated to the studio. We kindly ask that you take your stilettos, converse, and All-birds off at the front door to minimize cooties.

Studio Area Cleanliness

The best way for you to ensure clean equipment is to clean it yourself! We provide towels and spray bottles (filled with organic disinfectant) for students to wipe down any fabric surfaces they use after each session.
